THE COMPOSITE MOODS COLLECTION VOL.3: HALLS OF SILVER [2xLP|DIGITAL]
Dalhous has announced the new album Halls Of Silver - available via Denovali.
Concluding the trilogy started back in 2016 with House Number 44, Halls Of Silver finds the photographed individual of Vol.1 now inhabiting a liminal space inside a facility against her will. Darkening the soundscapes previously touched on, Vol.3 sees the mood shift into sparser, untethered realms fully embodying the sterile, disassociated corridor of the cover artwork.
Partly inspired by Jean Rollin‘s 1980 horror film The Night Of The Hunted, Dalhous continue their cinematically invoked dreamscapes, incorporating a blend of the autobiographical through a celluloid prism.
At times recalling the grim, foggy atmospheres of artists such as GAS and Lustmord, to the bittersweet tones of Angelo Badalamenti, Dalhous continue the lo-fi sound of video era horror tapes and conclude the long-delayed trilogy, laying the foundations for the plethora of upcoming material being developed for future release.
