Comprising of Christoph Clöser (Bohren & der Club of Gore / saxophone), Tycho Schottelius (Desmond Denker / synthesizer), Thomas Mahmoud (Tannhäuser Sterben & das Tod / field beats, effects & vocals) & Gerald Mandl (Tannhäuser Sterben & das Tod / bass, effects & moodswinger), The Nest have created their own blend of electronic sounds, jazz and noise across various improvisational sessions recorded live in Cologne in 2011.
Music for Drivers is a 62 minute long entity which is driven by the contrast between the organic and the mechanical, between the organized and the shredded. The mostly minimalistic sounds of The Nest manage to keep a fragile balance between an eerie atmosphere and a very subtle and peculiar humor.
These debut recordings are now available as their debut full length album on Denovali Records in 2012.
