with past releases such as 'until your heart stops' and 'beyond hypothermia' cave in made their mark as one of the heaviest and most extreme bands coming out of the boston hardcore scene (along with label mates and friends converge & isis) and were making waves worldwide. soon after, with the release of â€œjupiterâ€ they were more than just a band to mosh to, but indeed made some beautiful and incredibly inspiring music. similarly, vocalist stephen brodsky's vocal style extended from pure screams to wonderful singing. on their major label release of â€œantennaâ€, the band saw a different direction with the pressure of a major label to produce hits, lost some of what made them the band they came to be known and loved.

after their return to hydrahead records, cave in knew it was time to get their sound redefined again, mixing their old style with new elements. with the release of 'perfect pitch black', cave in proved they were back and quite possibly released their greatest record to date. sure to please the old fans and turn some new heads! 2007 is the year this album will be released on vinyl for the very first time."
